Role Overview
As Controller, you will elevate CXAI's finance infrastructure, reporting standards, and compliance systems to support our growth, product development, and strategic positioning in the enterprise SaaS ecosystem. Reporting to the CFO, you'll lead the accounting team, scale operational processes, and support performance analytics that drive leadership decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
o Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
o Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SaaS-specific revenue recognition (ASC 606), and evolving audit requirements.
o Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants to maintain compliance and prepare for 10-Q / 10-K filings.
2. Controls & Process Automation
o Design and refine internal controls proportionate to SaaS growth and potential public readiness.
o Drive automation of new revenue, expense, and equity processes via modern tools.
3. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
o Mentor a nimble accounting team.
o Partner with RevOps, Sales Ops, and FP&A to align finance with CXAI's operational metrics.
4. Strategic Finance & Analytics Support
o Translate accounting data into insights supporting CXAI's value proposition such as productivity lifts, adoption metrics, and space utilization improvements.
o Support investor and board materials, emphasizing outcomes that reinforce CXAI's investor narrative.
5. Tax & Payroll
o Oversee tax compliance, including federal, state, and international requirements.
o Manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with evolving employment regulations.
o Partner with HR to align payroll processes with equity, benefits, and workforce planning.
