Senior Sales / Project Manager – MUST HAVE Food Manufacturing

Salary $110,000 - $120,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Midwest

This large Midwest city has so much to offer – great dining experiences, professional teams, higher education, family friendly activities, and plenty of night life!

Lead a dynamic sales team to drive profitability and operational efficiency. This sales professional must have managed projects (ex. new product development projects) with cross-functional teams such as QA, Operations, Food Scientists, etc. Also, needs to have experience working closely with Finance, Operations and Logistics to understand plant capacity, pricing / margins, etc. Oversee sales activities across assigned regions and accounts, while also managing key accounts directly. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence sales strategies and achieve impactful results. There will be some overnight travel.

The key responsibilities for this Sales Manager position :

  • Develop and implement plans to meet volume, profit, and distribution goals.
  • Coach and guide the sales team to build strong customer relationships and exceed targets.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and drive innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional service throughout the sales cycle.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and secure new business opportunities.

Minimum requirements for this Sales Manager position :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressive sales experience in the food industry , including leadership roles.
  • Distribution / Logistics and R&D experience helpful
  • Expertise in retail, dairy, or consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
