JOB SUMMARY

  • Under the general guidance of the Director of the Medical Staff Office, the Medical Staff Coordinator I works with hospital administration and the Medical Staff. The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for technical and administrative support to the Medical Staff department, assists the other members of the department with meetings, credentialing and maintenance of databases, Medical Staff management, Joint Commission Standards and the Medical Staff bylaws.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Education High school or equivalent
  • Minimum Work Experience 1 Year
  • Required Licenses / Certifications
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Personal computer, printer, scanner, and Microsoft Office. Fax and photocopier. Excellent human relations and oral / written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to independently research information. Ability to type quickly and accurately. Ability to listen to conversations, take notes, and write summaries of same. Subject to many interruptions. May be subjected to irregular hours (early morning meetings, lunch meetings, after 5 p.m. meetings).
