Dykeman is seeking an entry-level candidate who is eager to learn and grow as a full-time Design Staff member on our team. This role will support the project team by creating and refining architectural drawings under the guidance of the Project Architect or Job Captain. As an integral member of the design team, this individual will collaborate closely with the project team to generate creative ideas and develop design concepts. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and passionate about refining their design skills and expanding their knowledge in architecture. This role will contribute to delivering designs that meet client needs and positively influence the spaces we experience.

Our team works in the office Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, there is flexibility to work either in-office or remotely, depending on project schedules.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of design, presentation, and construction documents.
  • Produce digital models and renderings to visualize design concepts.
  • Collaborate effectively with the project team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
  • Contribute design ideas during team discussions to support creative problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will have a professional degree in architecture (B Arch or M Arch)
  • 0-3 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office. Experience with Bluebeam,
  • SketchUp, Enscape, or similar programs is desired.

  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Passion for the design process.
  • Desire to work towards professional licensing.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
