Job Description
As a Social Media Coordinator with Inkblot Marketing, you will play a key role in bringing the student voice to life across ASUN and Center for Student Engagement platforms. This position is ideal for a motivated, creative student who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants hands-on experience in digital storytelling, branding, and student outreach.
You’ll be responsible for managing and scheduling content across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube; developing engaging campaigns; promoting ASUN events; and creating accessible and inclusive content. You’ll work closely with the Content Manager, Inkblot Director, and ASUN’s Director of Public Relations to align messaging, maintain a content calendar, and report on analytics and engagement.

Responsibilities
Attend weekly staff meetings
Have close communication with the Content Manager and Inkblot Director
Set up weekly meetings with the ASUN Director of PR
Manage social media accounts
Promote events promptly
Develop captions for social media
Compose alternative text for all content on all platforms
Write and edit copy for social media channels
Schedule social media posts and campaigns across multiple platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
Develop Text Message Content
Attend events to capture content to post on stories
Maintain content calendar
Cultivate a strategy for integrating holidays celebrated by our student body in communication with the Director of Public Relations and Content Manager
Figure out best practice for student outreach
Compile a monthly engagement report for social media postings, channels, and texts and report it to the Content Manager
Work with content manager to present social media analytics to the Director
Work with Content Manager to write news posts on PackLife for CSE and ASUN
Meet with Directors and ASUN PR Rep as needed to develop strategy
Set social media goals
Manage Linktree
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be a student at the University of Nevada, Reno
Candidate must maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled full time
Candidate has beginner to advanced knowledge in Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
Candidate is able to understand and abide by Inkblot, ASUN, and University standards
Candidate can understand Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Candidate can be available to provide responses and engagement outside of working hours
Candidate can attend events to capture content to post on stories
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate is able to use a professional camera for photography and videography
Candidate is majoring in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related fields
Candidate has an interest in PR, Marketing, or similar fields
