ArtCenter College of Design seeks experienced, creative, and collaborative game designers to teach part-time in the Game Design track of the Entertainment Design program. We are looking for instructors with strong industry experience, a passion for mentoring the next generation of designers, and the ability to teach courses ranging from systems design and narrative design to level design, visual scripting, and production workflows using game engines like Unreal or Unity.
Courses may include introductory through advanced classes in areas such as :
Assignments may vary each term and include in-person, online, or hybrid formats. Faculty are expected to support students in developing a solid understanding of game design principles, critical thinking, and creative iteration while fostering an inclusive and engaged learning environment.
Assigned classes maybe in person, online or a combination of modalities.

Union Membership
As a condition of continued employment within 31 days following the execution of this Agreement or the first date for which they are on payroll, either become a member of the Union and pay regular monthly dues thereto, or in lieu thereof, shall pay an agency fee (a service charge as a contribution toward the cost of administration of this Agreement and representation by the Union) to the Union each month.
Physical Demands and Working Environment

Environment : Work is performed primarily in a standard classroom setting with frequent interactions with other individuals. Due to the nature of the work environment, there is regular exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust and noise.

Hearing : Must be able to communicate effectively in the course of normal office communication or exchange ideas with or without correction.

Applicant Rights (Prior Cannabis Use)

Employment At-Will
All employment with ArtCenter is for an unspecified term and is “at-will.” Employees are free to resign at any time, with or without reason, and with or without prior notice. Similarly, ArtCenter has the right to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without prior notice. This “at-will” employment, which includes the College’s right to transfer, discipline, demote, or change the conditions of employment with or without cause and with or without prior notice, cannot be modified, amended or waived by any oral or implied agreement, and may be modified or altered only by an express individualized written employment agreement signed by both the employee and the College president
ArtCenter Employees have a Mandatory Duty to Report
