Job Description

Our client is seeking a Lead Operations Project Engineer to take charge of planning, designing, and implementing capital projects across various grain handling and processing facilities. This role focuses on enhancing operations through safe, efficient, and compliant facility upgrades and new construction projects.

  • Manage all stages of capital projects, from feasibility and design to construction and commissioning.
  • Create and oversee project budgets, cost estimates, timelines, and coordination with contractors / vendors.
  • Prepare project documentation, including bid packages, scope of work, specifications, and equipment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with site leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with business and operational objectives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and operational optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide regular project reporting and updates to leadership.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Mechanical preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management and construction experience.
  • Background in material handling, bulk storage, or industrial facility design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (or similar software).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven leadership abilities.
