The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brighams unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Physician Assistant to support one of our Internal Medicine offices located at 173 Worcester St, MA. Weekly schedules consist of 32 hours of patient-facing, clinical time, and 8 hours of administrative time. Clinic operating hours are MondayFriday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM. There is flexibility in how the Clinical and Admin time is structuredit may be taken as one full day or split into two half-days, depending on operational needs and mutual agreement. Our office provides physical examinations, routine health screenings, and preventative care for adults. The goal is to identify and control patients health risk factors before they become problems. We diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and promote general health, disease prevention and overall well-being.

Job Summary

The APP will support the practices panel of patients enhancing practice operations, increasing patient volume and efficiency while also providing excellent patient care and experience. This includes traditional primary care visits and same day sick appointments, while carrying a panel of patients. With this model, providers work autonomously to the top of their licensure while also functioning as part of a team.

Qualifications

Education : Masters Degree Physician Assistant required

Licenses and Credentials : Physician Assistant [State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Experience : Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and establish / maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
