Position Summary :
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to conduct non-credit training classes. In this part-time role, instructors will assist in creating and updating content, teach non-credit students how to safely operate various pieces of heavy equipment, and be a liaison with off-site externship sites. Training will be delivered through actual hands-on equipment in a field situation and / or in a classroom on a simulator. Heavy equipment will consist of the following :
- Skid Steer
- Mini-Excavator
- Wheel (Front End) Loader
- Forklift
- Backhoe
Required Qualifications :
High School graduate or equivalent.5 years of relevant work experience.Knowledgeable and productive in core competencies of heavy equipment operations. Must possess a thorough understanding of equipment, settings, etc.Must be able to operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include the above listed machinery and other pieces of equipment as needed.Preferred Qualifications :
AAS or Bachelor’s degree.Ability to work day, evenings, and / or weekend hours.Ability to efficiently use Microsoft office products, especially PowerPoint.To be considered for this position we will require an application and resume.
