Responsibilities
Position Summary
IES Residential is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Coordinator to support our Florida operations. This role is instrumental in fostering and strengthening our safety culture across job sites and teams. The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to partner with field and corporate leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular and comprehensive safety inspections across residential construction job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and client safety standards.
Collaborate with field and management teams to champion a proactive, accountable, and positive safety culture throughout the organization.
Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and specialized safety trainings; deliver engaging sessions to support continuous learning.
Lead safety meetings with field teams and supervisors to address concerns, share updates, and reinforce safe work practices.
Promptly respond to workplace incidents and vehicle accidents. Lead thorough investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.
Serve as a point of contact during OSHA site visits and ensure documentation and procedures are compliant and up-to-date.
Communicate and enforce company safety policies and procedures effectively to both management and field employees.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in residential or commercial construction.
OSHA 500 Certification – Required.
First Aid / CPR Instructor Certification – Preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Bilingual in English and Spanish – Mandatory.
Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
Solid understanding of current OSHA standards and regulations.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in construction safety within residential or electrical environments.
Demonstrated ability to influence positive change and improve safety metrics in field operations.
Experience using digital safety platforms, mobile apps, or incident tracking tools.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to many jobsites.
