Applications Engineering Manager – Electrical / Mechanical

We’re recruiting for an Applications Engineering Manager to lead a team of Field Application Engineers in the electrical power equipment industry. This is an onsite position based in Romeoville, IL (Chicago metro area).

What You’ll Do

Lead and mentor FAEs across multiple business divisions

Provide technical and commercial support to sales and engineering

Deliver training (PowerPoint + hands-on) and lead technical bid reviews

Partner with customers and sales to design solutions that meet requirements while ensuring profitability

Oversee product launch readiness and equip FAEs with the tools and training needed

Travel 20–30% to support FAEs in the field and meet with customers

What We’re Looking For

Strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA preferred

Proven leadership in field applications, technical sales, or engineering

Knowledge of power systems and grid automation

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Must work onsite daily in Romeoville, IL

110K–$150K base salary + quarterly bonus
