Job Title : Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Job Description
This role involves designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating instrumentation and control (I&C) systems and electrical equipment used in various industrial applications. The focus is on process systems and mechanical equipment, specifically within nuclear power plants, nuclear fuel enrichment and processing facilities, chemical plants, refineries, and other power plants. Familiarity and experience with NQA-1, 10CFR50, and 10CFR21 standards are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Determine design approaches and parameters, demonstrating a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Prepare design and procurement specifications, design basis documents, system design descriptions, proposals, and whitepapers.
- Develop models and drawings including schematics, wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and calculations.
- Create and deliver presentations to colleagues, customers, and management.
- Engage in motion control engineering and design, Control System Design, PLC Programming, and HMI Development.
- Utilize Rockwell Automation RSLogix / Studio 5000 for PLC programming.
- Select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability analysis.
- Review vendor capabilities to support product development.
- Apply principles and techniques of electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, and general engineering.
- Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Plan and accomplish goals with creativity and latitude.
- May supervise the activities of others.

Previous commercial, DOE, or nuclear experience is a plus.Ability to utilize Electrical Analysis packages such as ETAP or SKM.Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and UL 508A standards.Certified UL-508A Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) is a plus.Knowledge of EMI MIL standards, ISA, NUREGs, IEEE grounding standards, IEEE color books, IEC, and DOE electrical standards is preferred.Ability to conceptualize electrical designs for complex projects.Successful completion of NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is preferred.Willingness to acquire a PE license is a strong plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00 / yr.
