Associate Production Editor

A company is looking for an Associate Production Editor to support the Penguin Young Readers division. Key Responsibilities Prepare manuscripts for design by styling text in Microsoft Word according to house guidelines Copyedit manuscripts and review first-pass pages, incorporating changes and corrections Review and fact-check sketches and final artwork for consistency and accuracy Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of copyediting / proofreading / fact-checking experience; book publishing experience is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro, including Track Changes Familiarity with Merriam-Webster and Chicago Manual of Style Understanding of inclusive language issues Familiarity with children's books for all age groups is a plus
