We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Export Control Analyst to ensure our organizations compliance with U.S. and international export control laws and regulations. The Export Control Analyst will be responsible for reviewing transactions, classifying products and technologies, preparing documentation, and supporting internal stakeholders on export control matters. This role requires strong regulatory acumen, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Research and interpret U.S. and international export control regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other applicable laws.
Classify products, technology, and software to determine export jurisdiction and ECCN / USML classifications.
Review and approve export transactions, licenses, agreements, and documentation to ensure compliance.
Prepare and submit export license applications and other filings with relevant government agencies.
Respond to internal inquiries regarding export requirements, licensing, denied parties, and restricted destinations.
Conduct restricted party screenings and escalate findings as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of export activities and compliance documentation.
Develop and deliver export control training and awareness programs for employees.
Participate in internal audits and investigations related to export compliance.
Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on business operations.
Provide support during government audits, inquiries, or investigations.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain, Compliance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in export control, trade compliance, or a related regulatory environment.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. export control laws (EAR, ITAR, OFAC) and global trade regulations.
Experience with product classification, export licensing, and restricted party screening tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or distributed team.
Detail-oriented, with a high standard of accuracy and integrity.
Professional certification (e.g., CUSECO, CECP) is a plus.
Hourly Pay Rate :
45 - $65 per hour (commensurate with experience, education, and expertise).
