Waste Collection Driver
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Waste Collection Driver to join our team in the Chicago area. The driver will be responsible for operating collection vehicles to safely and efficiently collect waste, recyclables, or other materials from residential and commercial customers. This position plays a vital role in keeping our communities clean and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial waste collection vehicle (front loader, rear loader, side loader, or roll-off).
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs.
- Collect, transport, and unload materials at designated disposal or recycling facilities.
- Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Interact with customers and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Report any maintenance issues, route delays, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with container delivery, removal, or swaps as needed.
