POSITION : Blackbaud Implementation Specialist (Temporary, with potential for permanent)

SALARY RANGE : $30–$50 / hour, commensurate with experience

REPORTS TO : Director of Human Resources and HoS

JOB PURPOSE : The Blackbaud Implementation Specialist is responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and optimization of Blackbaud systems at Pardes Jewish Day School. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity, staff training, workflow improvement, and system integration during the transition from legacy platforms. The role may transition to a permanent position based on performance and school needs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Lead and manage the implementation of Blackbaud systems (including Financial Edge, Raiser’s Edge, Tuition Management, and Enrollment Management, etc.).

Work closely with internal stakeholders (Finance, Advancement, Admissions, IT, faculty, and others) to identify needs and configure Blackbaud tools appropriately.

Migrate data from legacy systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security.

Customize workflows, dashboards, and reports to meet school-specific operational and strategic goals.

Provide staff training, support, and documentation for all Blackbaud modules.

Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with Blackbaud support as needed.

Coordinate integration of Blackbaud with other systems in use (e.g. Google Workspace, QuickBooks if applicable).

Develop documentation of procedures and best practices for ongoing system use.

Ensure system configurations support compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and financial regulations.

Make recommendations for ongoing improvements to enhance usability and efficiency.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Attend relevant meetings and training as needed.

Provide periodic status updates to leadership.

Support cross-functional teams in adapting to new systems.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Head of School.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING :

Proven experience managing database or software implementations, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Exceptional communication and training abilities.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data quality.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Flexibility and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

Must hold fingerprint and background clearance checks and always maintain a valid fingerprint clearance card when employed by the school.

May be required to work outside normal working hours to accommodate implementation schedules or system updates.

May be required to travel locally for training or vendor coordination.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : Bachelor’s degree : i.e. Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.

Skills : Familiarity with Blackbaud suite (especially Financial Edge and Raiser’s Edge); strong Excel and data management skills.

Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in system implementation or database management, with preference for experience in K–12 schools or nonprofits.

Certifications : Blackbaud certifications or training preferred but not required.

Job Type : Temporary (with potential for permanent) Benefits : If converted to permanent, includes health insurance, 403(b) with match, PTO, and other standard school benefits. Schedule :
