Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with an international specialist in connection components, who is actively searching to hire a qualified Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be an energetic sales professional with an industrial machinery manufacturing background and a passion for strategic growth.
Our client has been designing, producing, and marketing innovative all-metal connection solutions for pneumatic or water-cooling applications for more than 80 years. In addition to standard components, they also develop numerous customer-specific special solutions for almost every application.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategies for new business development across the U.S. and Mexico, identifying untapped markets, building relationships with potential distributors, and creating tailored approaches to win new customers.
- Make direct contact with customers (customer visits, trade shows, etc.) to maintain existing relationships, reactivate lost customers, or win new customers; review projects, resolve quality issues, address customer concerns, and identify sales opportunities to maximize and grow sales.
- Expand business year over year with the existing customer base; retain and profitably grow sales through proactive management of top strategic accounts and distributors.
- Work closely with the inside sales team to process and release orders, prepare quotes, and maintain accurate customer records using CRM / ERP systems (e.g., Super Office, Sage).
- Plan and coordinate trade show participation, including booth setup, promotional materials, and post-event lead follow-up.
- Balance office-based account management with frequent on-the-road business development.
- Present products to current and prospective customers and distributors.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding accounts, products, pricing, and services.
- Follow up with accounts regarding issues, concerns, or delays in orders.
- Represent customer needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality and service delivery.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional associations.
- Communicate with the manufacturing facility regarding quality issues and coordinate solutions with customers.
- Analyze customer needs and assist with product selection, specifications, and approvals from engineering personnel.
- Completes detailed forecasts as required.
- Obtain specifications and approvals from customers’ engineering personnel.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred; equivalent experience considered.2-5 years industry-related experience (pneumatic-, machine building industry, food & beverage, medical industry, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required.Strong technical / mechanical aptitude.General knowledge and understanding of manufacturing practices.50% of travel with some extended stay away from home.Detailed understanding of competitive product lines.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Axios Professional Recruitment - an entirely employee-owned company - is the largest independent employer in West Michigan.
