RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor, operate, and support equipment including compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, hot water generators, chillers, cooling towers, closed loop water systems, RO / DI Water systems, wastewater treatment, toxic gas monitoring, acid waste neutralization system, and electrical distribution.
  • Manage the ultrasonic leak detection program by detecting leaks, repairing leaks, and graphing data. (UE Level 1 certification required)
  • Manage the filter and belt program for all HVAC systems.
  • Perform scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on facilities equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair down equipment and systems.
  • Work with facilities engineers to improve and increase equipment uptime.
  • Work with vendors, field service, and technical representatives.
  • Participate in tool installations, building construction projects, and other day-to-day maintenance activities that may include painting, plumbing, electrical installation, etc.
  • Utilizing CMMS to write work orders, respond, and make entries to document all work performed on equipment.
  • Wear required PPE including respirator when working around chemicals.
  • Using Building Management System, respond to facilities system alarms, and take necessary corrective action to prevent impact to manufacturing operations. (Interruptions to Production)
  • Perform Lean Projects and 6S of assigned areas.
  • Must be willing to climb ladders, work at heights, work in confined spaces, lift 50lbs or more at times, walk extensively and work on your feet daily to support a 4 building campus.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma is required with an applicable trade AA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of trade experience / licensing desired.
  • Applicant must be able to work M-F 7am-3 : 30pm and nights or weekends as needed. (available for on call)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Computer skills with both non-Windows and Windows operating systems.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Hands-on participation, highly motivated, and strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, VAV boxes, electric and gas humidifiers, and a general understanding of other building systems including compressed air, PVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
