Base pay range

110,000.00 / yr - $140,000.00 / yr

Cognitive is seeking a Testing Manager to lead and oversee testing activities across multiple projects and programs. This role is responsible for driving quality assurance strategies, managing testing processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

The Testing Manager will coordinate testing efforts across manual and automated approaches and will work within environments leveraging Azure cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, experience with modern testing practices, and the ability to work effectively within Agile frameworks.

Duties Include :

Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, plans, and processes to support high-quality software delivery.
Lead testing efforts across various testing types, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Manage and mentor a team of testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Oversee manual and automated testing efforts, ensuring testing coverage and effectiveness across projects.
Collaborate with development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to define testing requirements and schedules.
Ensure testing processes support systems and applications deployed in Azure environments and align with cloud best practices.
Track and report on testing progress, defect trends, and key quality metrics to stakeholders.
Identify and manage risks related to testing and software quality.
Lead defect triage efforts and ensure timely issue resolution.
Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience :

Deep experience with Katalon testing tool including setup, configuration, and test suite management

Experience with API testing, web-based browser testing in Edge and Chrome, and automation

Experience with Section 508 guidelines and usability testing

Familiarity with OWASP, Application Security, and associated testing

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing / quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.

Strong experience with cloud-based testing, particularly in Microsoft Azure environments.

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices within Agile and iterative development environments.

Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

US Citizenship Required

Ability to obtain a Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
