Medical Lab Assistant, Pathology
The Medical Lab Assistant, Pathology is responsible for obtaining and processing pathology specimens while maintaining positive specimen identification. Assists Pathologists, Pathology Assistants, Histotechnologist / technicians and Cytotechnologist with specimen preparation during routine processing and intraoperative consultations. Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Communicates clearly and professionally with nurses, OR staff, Doctors, co-workers, and other personnel to obtain information for laboratory records, procedures, material requests, and other inquiries. May assist Pathologist / PA with opening, evisceration, and closing during autopsy procedures with appropriate competency training and within established parameters.
Pay Range : Minimum $20.94 Midpoint $27.73 Maximum $34.54
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
