Description

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and efficient Healthcare Designer to join our team. The Healthcare Designer supports sales, project and account teams by providing expert design and specification support for patient room seating and other clinical environments. This role leverages deep knowledge of healthcare -specific furniture, space planning and product application to develop effective, compliant and visually compelling solutions. The designer works closely with sales, clients and A&D firms to create tailored product layouts, specifications, and presentations that align with the client's scope, budget and healthcare design standards. This position is hybrid remote and in office.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities Create functional, compliant space plans and product specifications for patient rooms, waiting areas, and other clinical environments using tools such as CET, AutoCAD, and Project Spec Develop layouts that adhere to ADA / TAS and internal design integrity standards. Ensure project specifications are ready for order entry Recommend patient and clinical products and finishes, acting as a subject matter expert on the MillerKnoll portfolio Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning meetings Partner with sales teams and project managers to support pursuits from design programming through installation and punch lists Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering, and Architect & Design (A&D) drawing sets as well as physical build-out Assist in ordering samples, finishes and renderings to support sales team with client-facing presentation packages (2D / 3D drawings, renderings, budgets etc. Stay current with trends in Healthcare Design, including materials, ergonomics, infection control and compliance. Works with installers and project management to ensure installation meets customer specifications, not limited to attending construction meetings or job sites for coordination and field verification Tracks and records design hours to specific projects for job costing
