Description

Linde is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician that will be based at our newly constructed industrial gas facility in Nederland, TX. This position will report to the site Maintenance Manager and will work with stakeholders to achieve plant reliability goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
  • Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical / millwright duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
  • Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair / replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Specific responsibilities include Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves and the ability to perform equipment alignments.
  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation.
  • Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
  • Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • 5+ years experience in an industrial production environment.
  • Knowledge of skilled trades, Journeyman Millwright / Machinist experience preferred.
  • High School education, associated degree preferred.
  • Ability to interpret equipment drawings required.
  • Functional computer skills required.
  • On-call ability required, 24 / 7 operations.
  • Willing to support turnarounds at multiple facilities within the Sulphur, West Lake, Port Arthur area.
