Job Description

The Catering Specialist plans, organizes and helps executes the catering business for an Eataly location. Reports to the Catering Manager.

  • Creates proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest’s requests
  • Oversees catering events from start to finish : books, plans and executes functions
  • Executes all off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, coordinating delivery services and pickup business
  • Acts as a trainer for team members on catering operations
  • Communicates product and staffing needs for catering events on a daily basis
  • Manages catering call-backs from orders delivered same day to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
  • Handles and resolves complaints / accolades and communicates results to managers
  • Ensures catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times : catering menus, catering table, business cards, etc.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

    • The Hourly rate for this role : $20.00

    Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in catering / sales management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fluid environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    • Job Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible scheduling often including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
