Outside Sales Representative
Our client, a trusted provider of crane and heavy equipment solutions, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support business growth across Alaska. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role ideal for someone with a strong background in equipment sales, account development, and technical product knowledge.
What's the Job?
- Drive revenue growth across equipment sales, rentals, parts, and service
- Establish new customer accounts through cold calling and on-site visits
- Support and retain existing accounts while expanding the customer base
- Promote the full range of company products and services
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction
- Educate customers on equipment features, benefits, and applications
- Follow up on orders to ensure a positive customer experience
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and the company
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to build brand presence
- Resolve customer issues and product concerns in a timely, effective manner
- Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards
What's Needed?
3+ years of sales experience in cranes or heavy equipmentStrong planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel frequently, including overnight staysKnowledge of crane equipment and related industriesExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesSelf-starter with a positive, customer-first attitudeProficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM toolsAbility to deliver presentations and communicate technical valuePreferred Attributes :
Familiarity with Manitowoc, Grove, National, or other crane manufacturersExperience in industrial construction or mobile crane marketsUnderstanding of sales methodologies and mechanical conceptsBackground in customer service, public relations, or technical salesWorking Conditions :
Full-time, field-based role with frequent travel throughout AlaskaMonthly vehicle allowance, mileage reimbursement, and company credit card providedOccasional lifting (up to 30 lbs), bending, and travel to customer sitesOffice and offsite work environments with moderate noise levelsSpecial Requirements :
