Dishwasher  Job Purpose  Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation for plateware, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, and all smallwares by using the dish machine and / or manual cleaning methods. Maintains the dish machine and area and ensures it is clean, safe, and sanitary.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Washes plateware, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by dish machine or by hand
• Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the dishware
• Replaces all clean plateware, glassware, flatware, and smallwares in the appropriate area
• Details floors, garbage cans, walls, and coolers
• Removes trash from kitchen and places in dumpsters
• Organize and put away deliveries and supplies
• Assist with prep when necessary
• Sets up and / or breaks down dish machine and area ensuring the floors remain dry
• Notifies manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
• Follows company cash handling policies and procedures
• Follows all sanitation and safety policies
• Maintains valid state and local food handlers and alcohol certifications when applicable
• Advises Restaurant Manager / General Manager / Regional Director of any non-routine situations

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to co-workers and managers. Must be able to engage in a two-way conversation with the customer on the floor. Must have the ability to read and / or follow verbal instructions and implement the same. Must be capable of applying common sense and understanding to carry out oral and / or written instructions. Must understand and adhere to service standards.
