Position Mission Statement
To serve clients and the firm by providing concise, accurate information and recommendations that allows clients and staff members to make informed financial decisions. This function allows clients to have confidence in KFG and positions the KFG staff to add referable value to our clients’ financial lives.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Appointment prep is completed no less than one week prior to the appointment
- Pre-Appointment Letters (PALs) are sent to clients no less than three weeks prior to the scheduled meeting
- Provide concise and accurate information to Financial Advisors, other department advisors within KFG, and our clients
- Provide planning recommendations for review by Financial Advisor(s) as needed and depending on knowledge level of current FPC status.
- Add value for each appointment by keeping WealthVision360 (eMoney) accurate and updated, looking for opportunities, and making recommendations as needed
- Possibly Develop strategies and recommendations
- Possible Tax preparation / projections
- Manage “Appointment Preparation Process” for Financial Advisor(s)
- Collect financial, legal, and personal documents or information from clients for preparation of necessary financial planning reports and analysis via PALs, phone, and email
- Prepare financial planning reports using WealthVision360 (eMoney) software for client appointments or use by Financial Advisor(s)
- Prepare retirement projections using WealthVision360 software for client appointments or use by Financial Advisor(s)
- Prepare education funding and insurance analysis using WealthVision360 software for client appointments or use by Financial Advisor(s)
- Prepare investment performance reports using Orion for client appointments or use by Financial Advisor(s)
- Prepare investment reports using fi360 for client appointments or use by Financial Advisor(s)
- Develop appointment agendas for review by Financial Advisor(s)
- Assist Client Service Coordinators with client questions pertaining to specific advice given by Financial Advisor(s)
- Calculate Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) as needed to assist Implementation team
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills and Abilities
Experience preparing Federal 1040 Tax Returns (preferred, but not required)Strong written and verbal communication skillsSignificant computer and software training or experience (i.e. Microsoft Office, CRM Software, UltraTax, eMoney Advisors, fi360 and Orion)Strong typing skillsAbove average math skills and analytical abilitiesUnderstanding of investment, insurance, and loan products / services available to clients and customersComfortable discussing topics related to investments and the economy with Financial AdvisorsMust be well organized with time, resources, physical office space, and client documents / information, detail oriented, and be able to manage a large workloadMust be intrinsically motivated and able to work individually with little directionMust be a team player and able to collaborate with team members and financial professionals from other firmsComfortable interacting with clients via telephone, email, video conferencing, or face-to-faceMust be coachable, goal oriented, grasp concepts quickly, able to work in a fast-paced environment, embrace change, and have a strong desire to learn and grow in the financial services industryEducation and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityTwo to three years of financial industry experience (preferred, but not required) and a passion for the financial industry
