Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a well-established and fast-growing manufacturer, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real-world production challenges, driving continuous improvement, and implementing hands-on solutions in a dynamic shop-floor environment. Responsibilities-Lead new product introductions with an emphasis on tooling, trials, and process validation.-Design and implement efficient manufacturing systems, including tooling, layouts, and process workflows.-Act as a resource for floor-level support for process troubleshooting, quality concerns, and improvement initiatives.-Train production personnel on standard operating procedures, safety, and quality practices.-Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance programs.-Conduct feasibility studies and prepare key process documentation (PFMEA, control plans, work instructions).-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and technical specifications.-Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.-Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related discipline).-2+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role.-2+years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment -Solid knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.-Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC Titles Encouraged to Apply-Process Engineer-Manufacturing Process Engineer-Industrial Engineer-Production Engineer-Automation Engineer-Continuous Improvement Engineer This is a great opportunity to join a company that values practical innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and real-time problem solving.
