Office Manager / Human Resources (HR) - Your Job Duties :
You will serve as the central Human Resources (HR) partner for time and attendance, employee relations, payroll, compliance, and safety programs.
Employee Relations and Workforce Management
- Support our managers by helping them navigate employee relations and performance conversations
- Manage new hire onboarding and training
- Be the friendly face for all HR questions, whether it's about timecards, attendance, benefits, or 401k
Safety and Compliance
Champion our company's safety program and help everyone stay safeCoordinate internal training programs on crucial topics like safety compliance and sexual harassment preventionBe the go-to person for workers' compensation, guiding our team through incident investigations and getting them back to work smoothly with support from our PEOBe the main contact for our PEO partner, helping the team with payroll, benefits, and any HR questions they haveKeep us in line with all California labor laws, so we can focus on what we do bestPayroll and Time Keeping
Oversee and manage all weekly and bi-weekly payroll and daily timecard reviewProcess payroll through the BBSI PEO platformOffice / Administrative Management
Maintain all employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentialityManage the front desk and provide general administrative support to the leadership team when neededHelp make sure our office and facilities are used in a way that's fair and safe for everyoneOffice Manager / Human Resources (HR) - Required Skills, Experience & Fit
You have :
The ability to thrive in a hands-on, family-owned company where teamwork and a down-to-earth environment are highly valuedBilingual Spanish – read, write, speakEssential HR knowledge, with a strong understanding of employee relations, compliance, and California wage and labor lawsMS Excel skills – you can navigate and key in data into multi-tab spreadsheets and track information using ExcelThe ability to work on-site, five days a week, from our Hayward, California, officeExperience building out an employee review process (not required)This role is based in Hayward, CA, and you will work on-site at the office (typical schedule 8 am-5 pm with flexibility).
