Value Stream Engineer

Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world's aviation leaders. Ontic's Creedmoor, NC, site is home to a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Firstmark, Twin Commander, and Metro Merlin. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.
Our team is looking for a Value Stream Engineer to join them. You will report to the Director, Engineering and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, North Carolina.
To be considered for the Value Stream Engineer opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Aerospace, etc.) preferred, or equivalent experience within a technical related field.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience within a production or value stream environment
- Familiarity with ERP / MRP systems and production planning tools
- Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar)
As a Value Stream Engineer, you will :
Be a catalyst for operational excellence, driving cost, quality, and delivery performance across Ontic's product lifecycleUnlock process efficiencies, accelerate throughput, and ensure every product meets customer expectations by blending engineering expertise with lean thinkingLead the technical delivery of complex work packages, guiding cross-functional teams within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) frameworkDefine and deliver customer requirements while managing technical and contractual impacts of changesAct as the primary technical interface with customers, fostering relationships built on transparency, trust, and a proactive, customer-driven approachDrive collaboration and effective communication across the enterprise, ensuring alignment at all organizational levelsPartner with engineering managers to ensure on-time delivery of engineering commitments and project supportEvaluate, manage, and mitigate technical risks, resolving escalations and removing barriers to technical progressEnsure compliance with established engineering processes and methodologiesSupport programs / projects throughout the full lifecycle with minimal travel (510%)Our Benefits :
