Operations Test Engineer

Payrate : $56.00 - $62.00 / hr. Summary : The Manufacturing Systems Engineering team within the Company is responsible for delivering test environmental, software, hardware, and frameworks that enhance both the speed and quality of satellite component testing. By partnering closely with engineering and production teams, we bring reliability, repeatability, and efficiency to our test systems, boosting throughput and accelerating production transitions. We are seeking an Operations Test Engineer to ensure the smooth, reliable operation of Test Systems. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, implementing system improvements, and contributing to the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks. The Test Operations Engineer position blends quality assurance, test automation, and operational support, acting as a vital link between development, testing, and operations teams. Success in this role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities : Test operations in both software and hardware domains Work in a lab environment with a focus on environmental test screening Troubleshooting issues in test operations Supporting extreme automation while performing some manual testing Environment : Components tested for compliance with specifications for environmental conditions in space Use of vibration tables, thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) equipment Work with automated test equipment (ATE) machines that interface with environmental chambers and capture analog-to-digital data Qualifications : Equipment Knowledge : Vibration table, Thermal chamber, Thermal vacuum chamber, Highly accelerated stress screening (HASS). Scripting Languages : Python, Test Stand, PowerShell Must know how to use these to communicate with testing equipment. Automation & Test Systems : Automated test equipment (ATE) experience Understanding of how machines communicate with chambers Familiarity with NI Test Stand sequence or similar technologies Pay Transparency : The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is : $56.00 - $62.00 / hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
