LHH is assisting our Indy based non-profit healthcare client in their search for a qualified Accounting Supervisor to add to their team. The Accounting Supervisor will provide administrative, technical and supervisory support for the organization's accounting services systems, work on special projects, serve as a supervisor to the Accounting Services team, and provide higher level service to internal and external customers. Job Description

Oversee the day-to-day functions of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations

Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes

Prior experience in an FQHC, CMHC, or grant-funded healthcare environment preferred

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting department

Provide training and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

5+ years of directly related work in general accounting functions required

1+ year team lead or supervisory experience of an accounting department highly preferred

Electronic Accounting Software experience required; Blackbaud preferred

Strong computer skills, including Google applications required

Prior experience in an FQHC, CMHC, or grant-funded healthcare environment preferred

Comfortably with ambiguity and ownership of decision-making

Exceptional communication, discretion, and critical thinking skills
