Accounting Specialist - Bookkeeper

Location : Burien, WA

Schedule :

Part-time, 24-30 hours per week

$60,320 - $72,800 DOE

Accounting Specialist

will manage day-to-day accounting functions, maintain financial records, and ensure compliance with established standards and timelines.

Overview of the Accounting Specialist Role :

Record and maintain all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and general ledger entries using QuickBooks.

Reconcile accounts and correct discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership review.

Process payroll, calculate wages, and verify deductions for accuracy.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and vendor communications.

Reconcile bank statements and assist with budgeting, audits, and tax preparation.

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist :

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.

Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).

Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, GAAP, and general accounting practices.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Excellent communication and customer service skills with a team-oriented approach.
