Job Description
SVS Group currently has a full time temp / hire position for a Aerospace Quality Inspector position for one of our clients in the S. Phoenix area. This is a 1st shift Monday - Friday position.
POSITION SUMMARY : Daily quality inspection functions. Responsible for adherence to quality department functionality, quality procedures, inspection equipment, and to AS9100 quality standard.
JOB DUTIES :
- Perform First Part (Article) inspections per company quality procedures, customer specifications / blue prints / engineering drawings / data inspection sheet / etc., and standard industrial practices.
- As assigned, co-ordination of scheduling of parts through inspection and necessary outside processes.
- As assigned, maintaining contact with venders regarding technical requirements for parts being processed.
- Communicate with all departments daily with quality and scheduling issues.
- Organize, Maintain and Complete job related quality documentation as specified by quality procedures and the job plan.
- Promote continuous process improvement through daily involvement in production activities.
SKILLS :
Strong communication and organizational skills; Mathematics; Industrial knowledge of machining, quality systems and inspection practices; Knowledge of machine operation; Knowledge and use of inspection devices, CMM’s, etc.; Knowledge of company practices and procedures. Knowledge of engineering print reading and understanding of GD&T.
EXPERIENCE :
Quality management experience. Strong work experience with various inspection equipment, devices, procedures, and systems. 3 – 5 years of experience preferred.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS :
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Degreed and / or Trade School Graduate and / or Significant work experience preferred.
Quality Systems and Procedure training or certifications preferred.
AutoCad, SolidWorks, FARO Arm, or Hexagon CMM training or certifications preferred.
Other education as required to perform the skills shown above.
