About The Position

Under supervision, the Court Interpreter - American Sign Language (ASL) performs a wide variety of ASL interpretation services, in-person or via remote videoconferencing, for Los Angeles Superior Court. Incumbents provide interpretation services for hearing-impaired jurors in non-courtroom settings, such as orientation and jury deliberation, as well as provide language access services to deaf and / or hard-of-hearing persons as mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This position is not eligible for telework.

Salary

Full-time (A-Status) : $8,373.18 - $8,603.36 Monthly

Part-time (C-Status) : $366.38 Daily

Hourly as needed (F-Status) : $45.80 Hourly

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must meet the following requirement at the time of application :

Possession of a valid certificate as a "Certified Court Interpreter" for American Sign Language (ASL) issued by the Judicial Council of California on behalf of the State of California.
