Data Intelligence And Planning Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Intelligence and Planning Specialist with a solid foundation in spinal surgery, radiographic interpretation, research, and a strong proficiency in analytics. This role bridges clinical insight with advanced analytics and plays a central role in supporting our intelligent surgical planning tools and research initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a unique blend of clinical knowledge, imaging proficiency, and experience in working with large datasets and predictive models. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work cross-functionally with clinical, engineering, and AI teams to enhance surgical planning, analyze surgical outcomes, and drive innovation across the Carlsmed platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in using Carlsmed's AI-enabled systems to analyze large amounts of spinal imaging data (X-ray, CT, MRI), to document consistency, accuracy, and quality in radiographic interpretation and measurements.
- Evaluate radiographic outcomes to assess alignment against preoperative plans and provide recommendations to help optimize surgeon specific planning.
- Identify and extract clinical insights from internal datasets to support research, education, and support R&D.
- Provide guidance into data inputs in collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, and Software teams to ensure clinical relevance in AI-based workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Science to provide clinically relevance input for AI / ML models to support continuous improvement in preoperative planning based on postoperative data. Support ongoing optimization of models to predict radiographic outcomes.
- Contribute to abstract submissions, publications, and evidence generation.
- Develop dashboards and tools to monitor model performance and accuracy across large patient cohorts.

Compensation
We are pleased to provide a competitive salary and benefits. Our benefits reflect our investment in the overall health and well-being of our employees and their families, including paying 100% of monthly healthcare, dental and vision insurance premiums, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and unlimited PTO. The expected pay range is $120,000 - $140,000. Compensation may vary based on related skills, experience, and relevant key attributes.
