The Assistant II, Lab performs specimen accessioning, data entry, processing and other non-technical duties in the laboratory under the general supervision of the Supervisor. This position reports to Supervisor or Manager of Chemistry. This position does not require a registry license and may be non-technical; may be assigned to work a designated shift on day / evening / night. This position reports to the Manager, Laboratory (Lab).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs specimen processing in molecular lab, Assists Trace Water or Environmental Water departments in processing and testing of water specimens. Duties include :

• Receiving and processing of specimens
• Preparing specimens for testing
• Testing of specimens
• Reagents inventory
• Monitors daily quality control

Assists Clinical Support department in receiving, and processing. Duties include :

Train new teammates and complete required documentation
