A company is looking for a Sr Cancer Registry Tech. Key Responsibilities Identify and collect cancer cases from various medical sources and confirm diagnoses through electronic medical records Abstract and code pertinent information from medical records, ensuring compliance with cancer registry standards and guidelines Enter abstracted data accurately into the cancer registry database and maintain knowledge of coding and staging guidelines Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with four years of experience in multi-EMR applications, or an Associate's degree with one year of recent abstracting experience in a cancer registry Certification as a Tumor Registrar (CT CTR) is mandatory Thorough knowledge of cancer registry processes and procedures Strong understanding of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
