Summary

The Floater Teacher provides vital classroom support across all age groups, stepping into different roles as needed. A floater should demonstrate flexibility, awareness of child safety, and a positive attitude while adapting to different classroom routines and staff.

Duties

Key Responsibilities :

• Support teachers with supervision, activity setup, clean-up, and routines (diapering, meals, naps, transitions).
• Build relationships with children across age groups while maintaining familiarity with each room’s expectations.
• Follow DHS supervision rules, including sight-and-sound observation at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitization standards are upheld when transitioning between rooms.

Classroom Expectations :

Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Must be at least 18 years old

Clear DHS background check and health documentation

Nice To Haves

Experience in childcare strongly preferred
