Position Summary : As a Mechanical Engineer, Automation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing production line fixtures for the manufacturing of biotech instruments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that fixtures are reliable, efficient, and meet the high standards required for precision manufacturing in the biotech industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop innovative fixtures through software and hands-on work for automation production lines, ensuring alignment with product specifications, regulatory standards, and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to integrate fixtures seamlessly into automated production lines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate fixture design and optimize for cost, efficiency, and scalability.
- Review and refine designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and ensure designs are manufacturable, functional, and robust.
- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for fixture manufacturing, ensuring they comply with quality and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any fixture-related issues that arise during the production process.
- Implement continuous improvements to production line fixtures, ensuring minimal downtime and increased throughput in a fast-paced environment.
- Support testing and validation of fixtures to ensure performance under real-world conditions, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements for biotech instrument production.
