JOB SUMMARY
The Billing Clerk is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing customer invoices in an accurate and timely manner. This role ensures all billing data is complete and consistent with company policies and contract terms. The Billing Clerk works closely with operations, sales, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain billing records, and support month-end closing activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Comply with Eco Material Safety Policies and Procedures
- Prepare, review and process invoices, corrections, and adjustments accurately and on a timely basis using shipping manifests and other supporting documentation.
- Verify billing data and ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and pricing agreements.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies or customer inquiries promptly.
- Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate closely with shipping, customer service, and plant personnel to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely invoicing.
- Post payments, adjustments, and credits to customer accounts as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Monitor aging reports and assist with collections or follow-up on outstanding invoices.
- Support internal and external audits by providing billing documentation or explanations.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and increase efficiency.
- Process invoices, corrections, and daily basis using shipping manifest
- Generate and distribute monthly reporting packages for assigned Utility locations.
- Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
