About the Role
The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and management of all aspects of the college, with a focus on fostering excellence in teaching, research, and service. Key responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and university leadership to create relevant curricula, ensuring college initiatives align with the strategic plan, leading student recruitment and retention efforts, and promoting innovation in teaching and research. The Dean will also be responsible for mentoring faculty, overseeing program accreditations, managing budgets, and engaging with external partners to expand the college's impact. The role demands a visionary leader with a strong moral compass, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build consensus and lead a team. Applicants for the Dean position at the company's College of Health Sciences must have a terminal degree in a relevant field and a proven track record of academic and administrative leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in faculty and staff recruitment, evaluation, and development, as well as a successful history of leading programs to accreditation. A strong background in interdisciplinary research and academic program development, as well as experience in building partnerships with the community and industry, is essential. The Dean should be a change agent, with the ability to make tough decisions and a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. A minimum of 5 years' administrative experience and a discipline-specific licensure in the State of Texas are preferred.
