Our client, a respected construction and real estate development firm based in Fallbrook, is hiring a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their finance department. This position plays an integral role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting project accounting, and assisting leadership in decision-making for ongoing development projects. If you enjoy working in a family-oriented environment and have strong organizational skills, this is a great long-term career move.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable entries.
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Track construction project costs and assist with progress billing.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze variances.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Support payroll processing and job cost allocations.
- Generate reports for project managers and the CFO.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies.
