Job Position - Digital Content Specialist

(Position Description - full-time, salaried, exempt, administrative and at-will)

Location - Central

General Scope of Position

Manage all web content on the Crossings website and mobile app.

Organizational Relationships

Reports to Crossings Community Church Operations Manager, Communications and will work collaboratively and interact regularly with various vendors, CCC staff and volunteers across the various departments and ministries, venues, and locations, as well with partners of Crossings to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings' and its ministries.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Manage content modifications, additions, deletions, and implementing approved digital enhancements within a web-based content management system.
  • Proactively monitor and ensure website accuracy, for current and error-free pages.
  • Manage work requests assigned to you within Comms Dept. project management system.
  • Maintain website design content standards

Responsible daily for publishing content, maintaining continuity, and streamlining navigation.

  • Collaborate with Communications and IT staff to align website with organizational goals.
  • Verify content accuracy prior to stakeholder review and before final upload.
  • Ensure accuracy and functionality of all navigational links.
  • Design, create & manage web forms.
  • Work with Comms Dept. and other ministries to test new content before going live.
  • Respond to user inquiries, comments, and suggestions.
  • Meet weekly with IT Department to coordinate inter-departmental projects and issues.
  • Manage service schedules for regular weekly streaming and special events.
  • Manage content on the new mobile app.
  • Help with The Gathering site infrequently. Be available to teach new staff how to update content.
  • Responsible for uploading services recorded live to the appropriate platforms.

    • Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church.

  • Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation.
  • Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of Crossings' ministries.

  • Exhibit a passion to walk with people in their faith development.
  • Be a proven and effective leader in the areas of responsibility attached to this position.
  • A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Possess a current unrestricted driver's license.

    • Physical & Other Requirements for Position

  • Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile); and be able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. parcels for distances of up to 500 feet.
  • Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility of his / her own safety and the safety of others including minors.

    Education and Experience

  • Shall possess an undergraduate degree, at a minimum.
  • Experience in campus ministry, leadership development and staff management.
  • Attends Crossings on a consistent basis to understand culture, mission and vision.
