Customer Service : Interact professionally with customers to ensure deliveries meet their expectations. Documentation : Accurately complete delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and proof of delivery. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, including pre- and post-trip inspections and compliance with DOT regulations. Freight Handling : Assist with loading and unloading freight as necessary, using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or lift gates. Communication : Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or changes in delivery routes. Experience : 1+ years of Class A driving experience required. Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred. License : Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions. Endorsements : Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles / Triples (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). Driving Record : Clean driving record is required. Screening : Ability to pass a background check and DOT drug screen Lifting and Carrying : Ability to lift, carry, and move loads that may weigh up to 50 pounds or more, often multiple times a day. Pushing and Pulling : Capability to push and pull products, sometimes using hand trucks or pallet jacks, often up to 2500 pounds with assistance. Standing and Walking : Frequent standing and walking around the vehicle and in and out of customer locations throughout the day. Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching : Regular bending, kneeling, or crouching for loading, unloading, and securing cargo. Endurance and Stamina : Ability to sit for long hours while driving and work extended shifts, sometimes up to 10-12 hours. Adaptability to Weather Conditions : Ability to work in various weather conditions, and extreme temperatures, as well as adjust driving and loading / unloading practices to ensure safety in these environments.
