The housekeeper functions under the supervision of and in coordination with the Director of Security & Facilities. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas of the Cannery Hall music venue building and grounds. This position works primarily evenings (when artists are performing) or overnight (for cleanup after shows).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs cleaning and housekeeping tasks and services throughout assigned property.
• Picks up trash and empties trash containers.
• Ensures restrooms are clean and well-stocked.
• Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spaces.
• Washes windows.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Vacuums and cleans rugs, furniture, etc.
• Dusts furniture, walls, décor, etc.
• Examines property for safety hazards; reports problems to the General Manager or other appropriate staff.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Properly uses detergents and cleaning solutions according to safety specifications.
• Ensures that cleaning supplies are stocked.
• Picks up trash in parking lot.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Policy Manual.

The above-listed duties are not all inclusive. This position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties.
