Imaging Clerical Rep

We're looking for an Imaging Informatics Support Specialist who will play a key role in supporting the daily function of our Imaging Applications, ensuring smooth operations for both patients and clinicians. This role serves as the front line of support for imaging workflows, providing training, issue resolution, and coordination between internal teams and external partners.

What You'll Do

  • Patient Registration & Coordination

Register and pre-register patients accurately, collect and post payments, and verify insurance coverage.

  • Obtain required documentation (consents, ABNs, Medicare questionnaires) and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Coordinate verification of benefits and pre-certification processes, working directly with physician offices and insurance carriers.
  • Imaging Application Support

    • Maintain EMR and imaging platforms (PACS, Aspen, Cerner) by importing / exporting studies, merging patient accounts, scanning documentation, and clearing QA / transcription lists.

  • Support scheduling, appointment corrections, and linking of multi-modality exams.
  • Troubleshoot issues across applications and support imaging staff with workflow efficiency.
  • Administrative & Training Support

    • Answer and triage calls, greet and assist visitors, and provide orientation for new associates.

  • Support supervisors and managers with projects, reports, and clerical needs.
  • Assist in training team members on office practices, imaging applications, and hospital protocols.
  • Team & Organizational Excellence

    • Consistently deliver world-class service and act as a professional representative of Beacon Health System.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and required education.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.

    • What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 1-2 years of related work experience (healthcare setting strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with imaging systems, EMRs, and medical terminology preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively.
