Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Dentist to join our team and provide essential dental care services to children within school settings. This position involves working in a mobile dental clinic, delivering preventive and restorative dental services to students in underserved communities.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide Dental Care :

    • Perform dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other necessary dental procedures for school-aged children.

  • Preventive Care :

    • Educate students and school staff on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care practices.

  • Treatment Planning :

    • Develop comprehensive treatment plans for students requiring ongoing dental care and coordinate with parents or guardians for follow-up appointments.

  • Mobile Clinic Operations :

    • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the mobile dental clinic, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.

  • Community Outreach :

    • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and local health organizations to promote oral health education and awareness within the community. Able to attend community events outside of normal working hours on an as-needed basis

  • Record Keeping :

    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of services provided, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Quality Assurance :

    • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality dental care services in accordance with professional standards and guidelines.

    • Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration :

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Dentist credentialed from the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

    • Education :

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
