A company is looking for an Observation Coding Specialist. Key Responsibilities : Abstracts relevant clinical information from health records and assigns accurate codes Identifies principal and secondary diagnoses and assigns appropriate ICD and CPT codes Maintains coding compliance and meets productivity standards while safeguarding patient information Required Qualifications : High school diploma or GED equivalent Completion of a formal coding program Preferred certifications include CCS, RHIT, or RHIA Minimum of three years of coding experience with knowledge of ICD and CPT coding systems Intermediate level computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
