Medical Collections Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solution is helping our healthcare client with a Medical Collections Specialist position based out of Tempe. This role will be 100% onsite and a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
This role focuses on managing insurance collections and patient account resolution by acting as a patient advocate, analyzing billing and payer trends, and escalating issues to ensure timely payments. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting insurance policies, coordinating with payers and internal teams, drafting appeals, and handling patient communications regarding financial assistance and payment plans.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years medical collections / revenue cycle experience
Must be proficient working within Microsoft Office (especially Excel - pivot tables / v-lookups) and EMR Systems
Skills
Excellent communication skills, especially phone etiquette
Strong ability to analyze and problem-solve independently
Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT / ICD, and medical terminology
Knowledge of all commercial payers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid
Can meet production expectations as outlined by management
Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Tech savvy and can work within multiple software systems

Pay Details : $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
