As an Internal Communications Intern youll gain hands-on experience supporting company-wide communication initiatives that inform engage and inspire employees. Youll collaborate with experienced communicators contribute to impactful projects and help tell the stories that strengthen our culture and bring our purpose to life.

Key Accountabilities

Draft and edit internal content including news stories employee spotlights and intranet articles.

Maintain and update the company intranet and internal communication channels.

Support communication campaigns employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.

Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas for content and events.

Assist with planning and logistics for internal events and communications rollouts.

Conduct research and gather materials to support communication strategies and storytelling.

Organize and track internal communications projects content calendars and resources.

Learn and apply Associated Banks communication standards and best practices.

Education & Experience

Required :

Current enrollment in a degree program in Communications Journalism Public Relations Marketing or related field.

Strong writing editing and organizational skills.

Curiosity attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred :

Prior experience in writing event coordination or digital communications (coursework student media or internships).

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital publishing tools.
